General Information

The Veteran Services Office provides assistance to all honorably discharged veterans, widows, and orphans of veterans of Stevens County for various state and federal programs through the development of claims, preparation of government forms, obtaining official documents required and assisting with the processing of their claims with the state and federal agencies.

In addition, this office assists Veterans in obtaining medical care through the VA Medical System and provides transportation to the various medical centers tot those who need this service.

Veteran Benefits Include the following:

  • Compensation Payments for Service Connected Injury;
  • Non-Service Connected Pension for Disabled or Elderly Veterans or their Widows;
  • Dependency Indemnity Compensation
  • Veterans Job Training, Educational Assistance, and Vocational Rehabilitation;
  • Special Programs for Veterans in Receipt of a Pension or who are Unemployable;
  • Survivors and Dependents Education Program
  • GI Home Loans;
  • Death and Burial Benefits
  • Health Care at VA Medical Facilities;
  • VA Insurance;
  • Other federal Assistance Programs;
  • State Veterans Assistance;
  • State Veterans Home Placement;
