Food Programs & Insurance

Licensed family child care providers are encouraged to participate in a food program. The food program reimburses family child care providers for some of the expenses of feeding the children in their care (rates of reimbursement vary). Please call a food program for more information.

While not legally required to do so, many family child care providers carry liability insurance. This can be purchased through an insurance agency or as part of the provider’s homeowner’s insurance. Insurance providers have varying restrictions and requirements. Please contact your insurance provider for more information.

The following lists are by no means all inclusive. Inclusion of a program in this list does not constitute an endorsement or insurance of quality of that program by Stevens County.
