Information Technology

Purpose

The Information Technology Department is an internal county department who's goal is to work closely with departments and agencies to provide them with technology related services that solve technology needs, improve efficiency and allow them to offer new or improved services while ensuring the integrity, accessibility and security of the information stored and processed on the County's computer systems.  

Primary Functions

  • Provide an efficient technology infrastructure
  • Data backups
  • Hardware, software and licensing procurement and tracking
  • Procure, install and support County computer systems
  • Provide technical support and training for County employees and departments
  • Network and systems security
  • Voice, email and video conferencing systems
  • Maintain County website and intranet
  • Assist County Departments with cooperative ventures and integration
  • Administer County IT initiatives and large scale projects
